We, at Central Baptist Church, are devoted to ministering to children and helping them and their families grow closer to our Savior Jesus Christ. We have dedicated and trained volunteers who will love and nurture your child as soon as he or she enters our door!
At Kid-Central our purpose is to create an atmosphere where children experience the life-changing message of God’s Word. Through age-appropriate language and activities, our goal is for each child to see clearly how God’s Word applies to their life; how His Truths tell them how to live. We are a support system for the home, therefore, it is our belief that one of the best things a church can do is to partner with parents/guardians and help equip them to be the spiritual leaders that God desires for them to be.
9:30 – 10:30am
Sunday mornings begin with Bible Zones. During this time children are placed in age-appropriate groupings and are diving into God’s Word as they work their way through The Gospel Project. Children are encouraged to bring their Bible – we use it!!!
10:45am – 12:00pm
Studio252 Worship! Through using the Orange strategy, music, skits, games, video presentations, creative activities and small group discussions, this time together is packed full of fun as we focus on one clear and simple Biblical truth each week. We want our kids to grow up making wise choices, building strong relationships, and developing a deeper faith.
Come join us every Wednesday at 6 – 7:30pm for WAM (Worship Through the Arts & Missions)!
Following our weekly Bible Study (this year: AMPED: Live Fully Alive) at 6:00pm, children break up into WAM classes. WAM is a self-designed approach that presents the Gospel in exciting and fresh ways by engaging all learning styles. Children are encouraged to use his/her interests, talents and gifts within the church, community and nation. We use the expertise of our own church members to teach skills such as woodworking, cooking, sewing, puppetry, etc. Service projects and Biblical teachings are the focus of each class.
The 2018-19 WAM Classes are:
*Puppets (Sharing skits and songs with nursing homes, our church family and other opportunities throughout the school year)
*For Our Neighbors (Serving at the Community Needs Center and visiting shut-ins)
*His Hands Interpretive Movement (learning songs and leading in 252Worship as well as other opportunities to share within our community)
*Mind Games (Bible Trivia at its best! Plus learning new games of strategy)
*Crochet (learning how to crochet. Making winter scarfs for those in need)
Check-in & Security
Your children are precious to you and also to us. Their safety is our #1 priority. In order to provide a secure environment, all of our teachers and volunteers are screened and trained. In addition, we use a Child Check-in system for security and parent notification, if needed. The guardian receipt printed when your child is checked in will be required in order for your child to be released.
Check-in times: Sundays 9:00 – 9:30am &
10:30 – 10:45am
Wednesdays 5:40 – 6:10pm
